Legislative Update and Events – ’23 Session Begins Tomorrow

The Legislature will reconvene tomorrow, January 4, to start the new legislative session.

While the first few days are dominated by the pomp and circumstance of seating legislators and statewide officials, the real work will start by early next week. You can find the weekly schedule for floor sessions and committee hearings, and ways to access the meetings, on the Legislature’s webpage. As always, note that the schedule changes often.

Alliance staff has begun to work with our partner organizations to monitor these legislative discussions and support advocacy throughout the session. Please let us know what we can do to help you stay involved in events at the State House.

Note - Our 2023 Legislative Agenda will be released this Thursday, January 5.

VCLF Justice Forward Fund Update

Through the work of the Fund, VCLF is making impact investment capital as accessible as possible to BIPOC Vermonters systemically and generationally excluded from building wealth.
