Celebrate Safely with Halloween Guidance from the Department of Health

On October 14, the Vermont Department of Health issued brief guidance on Halloween celebrations during COVID-19. The guidance encourages families to keep three phrases in mind: 6-foot spaces; masks on faces; uncrowded places.

Visit the Department of Health website to learn more.

Meal Access for Families Extended

The federal waiver allowing schools to serve free meals to all children 18 and under has been extended for the entire school year! Hunger Free Vermont created a flyer for families with young children that outlines how they can access these meals.

As a reminder, many schools/meal sites are operating as "open sites," which means that children who aren't enrolled in the school can access these free meals every day. Hunger Free Vermont uses this mapping tool to share how people can access meals at different sites.
