Rally for Reconciliation Held in Burlington Hunger Free Vermont, the Community of Vermont Elders, the VT FaMLI Coalition, Let’s Grow Kids, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Voices for Vermont Children, small business owners, and other partners gathered on Tuesday in Burlington for a rally to support a comprehensive federal reconciliation bill that supports the economic recovery and wellbeing of Vermont families. VPR VT Edition This Week – Child Care and Homelessness This week, VPR’s Vermont Edition program has featured two topics that have been prominent in the Alliance’s Legislative Agenda. On Wednesday, the discussion centered on the crisis in the child care system in Vermont and the new state plan to get federal funds to providers. Today, the conversation focused on homelessness in Vermont with Mairead O’Reilly, Staff Attorney at Vermont Legal Aid, and Jay Diaz, Associate Director of the Vermont ACLU.
