Alliance Equity Discussion - “Winter Holiday Perils and Possibilities” - 11/15

Join a group of peers and colleagues from the early childhood community to engage in sustained learning about anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. The Alliance hosts a monthly, salon-style Equity Discussion Group via Zoom, and the next session is Friday, November 15 at 1:00 pm.

“Winter Holiday Perils and Possibilities,” will be facilitated by Alliance Executive Director Matt Levin. He will provide one Jewish person’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities that come with public celebrations of the traditional December holidays in classrooms, offices, waiting rooms, and break rooms.

VTAEYC Roundtable Sessions

The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) is hosting multiple 45-minute roundtables over the next four weeks for early childhood educators engaged with the work to advance Early Childhood Education (ECE) as a profession in Vermont.

These roundtables are opportunities to learn about their recommended timeline and name the resources needed that credit experience and honor early childhood educators working in all settings. Each session focuses on either family home-based or center-based educators, but any interested ECE is welcome in any session.

For more information and to register for a session, visit the VTAEYC Website.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
