Let’s Grow Kids – Child Care Legislator Events

The Let’s Grow Kids Action Network is hosting a series of virtual “Child Care Legislator Events” around the state to connect parents, educators, and child care champions with their legislators as the 2022 legislative session approaches.

Fund Vermont’s Future (FVF) Seeking Campaign Manager

The FVF Campaign aims to change how state priorities and budgets are developed and funded by centering people at every stage of the process, shifting from a scarcity mindset, and budgeting transparently with meaningful public input. FVF is a coalition-based project of Public Assets Institute.

The Campaign Manager will oversee campaign development, implementation, and management and help with both field and legislative advocacy campaign plans, expanding the FVF coalition, building partnerships, educating policymakers and the public, and shaping the public debate. The Manager will provide administrative support to the Campaign Steering Committee.

ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grants Application Open

The application process for the Vermont Department of Children and Families (DCF) Child Care Stabilization Grants is open. This grant program is funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and aims to help cover unexpected business costs associated with the pandemic and stabilize operations so the industry can continue to provide care.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
