VBSR Virtual Lunch Hour Conversation – “Child Care is Everyone’s Business” – TODAY 11/30

Vermont Business for Social Responsibility (VBSR) and Let’s Grow Kids (LGK) are hosting a virtual conversation for employers about child care today, November 30, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

“Child Care is Everyone’s Business: Solving Vermont’s Child Care Crisis Together” will be led by Joyce Judy, President of CCV, Dimitri Garder, CEO of Global-Z, and Chris Nelson, Owner of Mountain View Child Care.

HFV and VT Foodbank Vermont Food Security Briefing – 12/9

Hunger Free Vermont (HFV) and the VT Foodbank are holding a virtual Vermont Food Security Briefing on Friday, December 9, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. They will discuss the current state of hunger in Vermont and the upcoming legislative agenda, as well as what has been done and what can continue to be done to support neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity.

VCW is Hiring – Deadline 12/11

The Vermont Commission on Women (VCW) is hiring a Communications, Outreach, and Project Coordinator to contribute to their mission of advancing rights and opportunities for women, girls, and gender-expansive people in Vermont through day-to-day communications management and strategic public relations and marketing; developing and implementing public education initiatives, materials, and campaigns; representing the Commission at public settings and in coalitions; and contributing to a variety of projects including events and programs.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
