Join the Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance, early childhood professionals, parents, employers, and policymakers in person to:

  • Attend workshops on current topics
  • Take action at the State House
  • Network and exchange information

BBF to Release “The State of Vermont’s Children: 2022 Year in Review” – 1/9

Building Bright Futures (BBF) is holding a virtual briefing to mark the release of “The State of Vermont’s Children: 2022 Year in Review” on January 9 at 1:00 pm.

This report provides an objective, data-driven assessment of the state of young child and family well-being in Vermont, as well as progress on selected indicators and outcomes for the early care, health, education system, and recommendations on how best to improve child and family well-being. The wealth of information in the report sheds light on the economic, social, health, and educational conditions for children in Vermont.

VECF Grantees for ‘23 Announced

The Vermont Early Childhood Fund (VECF) is an initiative of Building Bright Futures (BBF) to support creative solutions that will improve the well-being of young children, families, as well as the Vermont communities in which they live. 

Each year BBF Regional Councils identify two key issues impacting children and families in each of Vermont’s 12 regions. The Vermont Early Childhood Fund uses these regional priorities to guide each year’s grant making.

VAHC Hiring for Interim Director – Deadline 12/15

The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition (VAHC) is hiring an Interim Director to oversee and coordinate the Coalition’s administrative, outreach, and advocacy functions for a period of five to seven months or until a permanent director is hired.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
