Paid Leave Coalition is Hiring

The Vermont Paid Leave Coalition is looking for a skilled manager to oversee and implement all aspects of Vermont's paid family and medical leave organizing effort. The position will be responsible for administration, advocacy, communications, and community-based organizing activities to build widespread support for paid leave among legislators, community groups, and other grassroots constituencies.

This position is funded through a grant secured for the Coalition by Voices for Vermont’s Children.

VT Department of Health Survey

The Vermont Department of Health is seeking respondents to a survey that will help the Division of Family and Child Health better understand the needs of children, adolescents, young adults, parents/caregivers/guardians, and families in Vermont so their programs and activities can better meet those needs. All individuals taking the survey can be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.

Applications Open for Program Track Afterschool Grants – Due 12/18

The Vermont Agency of Education is accepting applications for the Program Track State Afterschool Grants up to $75,000 to support the development and expansion of individual programs. The deadline for grant applications is December 18. All applications must be submitted through the state's Grants Management System and it is important that applying organizations are properly registered in advance of the application deadline.

  • Meet with legislators about early childhood issues
  • Attend workshops on current topics
  • Network and exchange information

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
