Afterschool Advocacy Week – 2/8 – 2/12 Join Vermont Afterschool for a week-long array of online opportunities to advance afterschool, summer learning, and third space policy in Vermont. All are welcome to join. Advocacy activities will include offering testimony at a public budget hearing, providing public comments to the Universal Afterschool Task force, setting up virtual meetings with local legislators and youth ambassadors, and more. In advance of Afterschool Advocacy Week, Vermont Afterschool is also hosting a Virtual Field Forum on Thursday, February 4, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, where you can hear more about their policy goals, find out ways to get involved, and to add your voice to this important conversation. Join the Team at Hunger Free Vermont Hunger Free Vermont is hiring a Universal School Meals Campaign Manager to join the team working to make Vermont the first state in the nation to provide universal school meals, making school breakfast and lunch available to all public school students in Vermont at no charge to them or their caregivers.
