VTAEYC Kindergarten Conference – 4/4

Registration is now open for the Vermont Kindergarten Conference on April 4 at the Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm, hosted by the Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC).

The Conference is designed for early childhood educators, principals, and curriculum directors throughout Vermont and will focus on ways to support the development of children’s literacy and language skills as well as social and emotional learning through stories and storytelling.

Support the Farm Bill Recommendations

This year, the federal Farm Bill is up for reauthorization by Congress, and the Vermont Farm Bill Nutrition Coalition has been working together since January to establish priority recommendations for the bill to share with Vermont’s Congressional delegation. The nutrition programs within the Farm Bill, including 3SquaresVT and the Emergency Food Assistance Program, support tens of thousands of people across Vermont.

The final set of priority recommendations were directly informed by a collaborative process with many organizations and individuals across the state.

Registration Open for 3SquaresVT Conference – 4/12 and 4/13

Hunger Free Vermont, the Department for Children and Families, and statewide food security advocates will be hosting their two-day virtual 3SquaresVT Outreach and Policy Conference on April 12 and 13. The Conference will help participants to gain a deeper knowledge of 3SquaresVT with special focus on their four themes: advocacy, education, outreach, and policy.
