Alliance ‘26 Legislative Agenda Issue Spotlight – Issue Status Updates – 3/30

The Alliance is continuing to host virtual Issue Spotlights that will focus on one or two issues from the Alliance’s 2026 Legislative Agenda. In discussions led by representatives from the issue’s lead organizations, participants will be able to ask direct questions and hear a brief legislative update.

The next session will be held Monday, March 30, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, and will provide updates on the status of all of the issues on the Alliance’s ‘26 Legislative Agenda as the Legislature continues its session.

Led by Matt Levin, the Executive Director of the Alliance, this session is a great opportunity to learn more about the issues on our Agenda, where things stand in the Legislature, and how to get involved.

VTAEYC/CDD Child Trends Survey

The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) is forwarding a survey invitation from Child Trends, a research organization partnering with Vermont’s Child Development Division (CDD) to conduct a state-wide early care and education workforce survey about compensation and benefits for people working in child care and early education programs.

They’re hoping to hear from staff working in settings or directly with children ages 0-6 years old, to ensure that all Vermont ECE voices are represented in Child Trends’ work. The goal of this research is to work towards ensuring pay parity among members of the early childhood education workforce.

Complete the survey by March 25, 2026. Take the survey here.
