Alliance “Legislative Happy Hour” – FaMLI and USM – 4/3, 3:30 pm 

The Alliance is hosting virtual “Legislative Happy Hours” throughout the Legislative session this year. Each session will focus on one or two issues from the Alliance’s 2023 Legislative Agenda. Joined by representatives from the lead organizations, participants will be able to hear a brief legislative update regarding the issues and ask follow-up questions. 

The next session will be held Monday, April 3, from 3:30 to 4:15 pm. It will focus on two topics – Paid Family and Medical Leave and Universal School Meals and will be led by Michelle Fay from Voices for Vermont's Children and Teddy Waszazak from Hunger Free Vermont.

Reimagining Schools, Connecting Communities Conference – 4/1

The Education Justice Coalition is hosting their Reimagining Schools, Connecting Communities Conference on Saturday, April 1. Registration for the in-person conference is full, however there are hybrid options that are still accepting registrations.

Hunger Action Conference – 5/5

The Vermont Foodbank is hosting their 2023 Hunger Action Conference on May 5 at the Killington Grand Hotel. This year’s conference will focus on the theme “Collective Voice: Centering our Vermont Community in Food and Resilience”.

The Conference will bring together existing network partners in addition to local non-profits, state representatives, and other advocates to creatively address the issues of hunger in Vermont.
