|  | Kindergarten Conference – 4/1 The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) and partners are hosting the 29th Annual Kindergarten Conference on April 1. This year's theme is “It's Time to Play! Nurturing Each and Every Child's Curiosity, Learning, and Well-Being.” The Conference will be in a hybrid format this year, with a virtual keynote followed by in-person workshops held throughout the state for principals, curriculum directors, and early educators. | |  | Alliance Monthly Equity Discussion – 4/15 Join a group of peers and colleagues from the early childhood community to engage in sustained learning about anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. The Alliance hosts a monthly, salon-style Equity Discussion Group via Zoom, and the next session is coming up on Friday, April 15, at 1:00 pm.
We are excited to announce that this session will be facilitated by Cheryle Wilcox, the Interagency Planning Director of the Vermont Department of Mental Health. In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, we'll be looking ahead and discussing how to incorporate the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in children's mental health service delivery.

| |  | VTAEYC Conference Seeking Proposals – Deadline 4/15 The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) is hosting its 50th Anniversary Annual Conference on October 13 and 14 and is looking for presenter proposals. The Conference will be in-person in Burlington with aims to help attendees re-engage with colleagues and re-energize professional practice. The deadline to submit presentation proposals is April 15 and registration for the Conference will open in August. | | VIP-3 Project 2021-2026 Beginning September 2021 and continuing through 2026, Vermont will be receiving $255,600 per year ($1.3m total) from the federal government to promote early developmental health, family engagement, and family well-being for children from the prenatal period to age 3 and their families. This important project is called Building Integration in Vermont’s P-3 Early Childhood and Maternal Child Systems (VIP-3), and it is co-led by the Vermont Department of Health, the Vermont Division of Maternal and Child Health, and the Building Bright Futures (BBF) State Advisory Council.
