Alliance ‘26 Legislative Agenda Issue Spotlight – Mid-Session/ECDL Prep Update – 3/9

The Alliance’s series of virtual Issue Spotlights, which focus on issues from the Alliance’s 2026 Legislative Agenda, continues in March.

The next session will be held Monday, March 9, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, and will provide updates on the status of the issues on the Alliance’s ‘26 Legislative Agenda as the Legislature passes the half-way point of their annual session.

Led by Matt Levin, the Executive Director of the Alliance, this session is a great opportunity to learn more about all of the issues on our Agenda before Early Childhood Day at the Legislature, where things stand in the Legislature, and how to get involved.

Register on Zoom to receive the meeting link.

State of Vermont Child Care Business Survey

First Children’s Finance (FCF) is conducting its annual survey to learn more about the current state of child care businesses in Vermont. They want to hear from ECE providers about how current economic conditions, workforce issues, and public funding affect child care. The answers will help FCF improve their programs and inform leaders of state and non-profit agencies.

Take the survey here.

CDD CCFAP Eligibility Screener

The state Child Development Division (CDD) has created a short online screening tool to help families quickly find out if they may be eligible for Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFAP). The hope is that the tool will save time and could be used by families with household income changes to determine any revised eligibility without having to submit a full application.

Visit the Parent Portal of the Child Development Division Information System to find the new screening tool.
