Join advocates from the around the state to celebrate this year's early childhood advocacy accomplishments and plan for the 2022 legislative session.  This event will feature a panel discussion, "Our Next Six Months of Advocacy", that will be focused on what the state's early childhood advocacy community needs to do now to keep responding to the pandemic, and what advocacy we need to be doing over the next six months regarding allocation decisions on ARPA and other federal funds.

Members of the House Appropriations and Human Services Committees and the Senate Appropriations and Health and Welfare Committees have been invited to be panelists.

Breakout sessions will include an introduction to the Alliance, a status update on the Alliance's 2021 Legislative Agenda, and group discussions about challenges and opportunities moving forward with advocacy in the coming months.

Alliance members will participate in Steering Committee elections.  For more information about joining the Steering Committee, email Matt Levin at matt@vecaa.org

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
