VTAEYC is Hiring for Multiple Positions

The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) is hiring for multiple positions. The Associate Director for Early Childhood Education Program Quality will start up and run the Vermont System for Program Access to Resources for Quality Supports (SPARQS). 

The Early Childhood Education Program Quality Support Specialists (six regional positions) will provide consultation, coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance in continuous quality improvement to regulated early childhood and afterschool programs and Vermont Early Childhood Networks. And the Associate Director for Early Childhood Educator Engagement will lead initiatives designed to recruit and retain early childhood educators in Vermont.

BBF Welcomes Four New Team Members

Building Bright Futures (BBF) welcomes Michelle Kersey, Kate Bailey, Tanya LaChapelle, and Valerie Wood to their team as they ramp up their activities under “Vermont Integration Project: Building Integration in Vermont’s B-5 Early Childhood Systems” (VIP B-5), the three-year, $23 million federal Preschool Development Grant (PDG) awarded to Vermont at the start of this year.

Over the next three years, these four experienced professionals will help to put the grant funds to the best, most effective uses possible.

This summer is a great time to connect with legislators about early childhood issues and service delivery. Invite them to lunch or to your program. Introduce yourself at a local parade or community event. Thank them for their work in supporting early childhood and families in Vermont!

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
