Center Based Child Care and Preschool Programs – Proposed Regulatory Changes

On June 19, the Child Development Division (CDD) released information about proposed changes to the Child Care and Preschool Programs Regulations. Among other things, the changes seek to eliminate duplications related to public school-based programs, Head Start, and other providers. These changes, articulated in the CDD update, were agreed upon after a process that convened different stakeholders for input and incorporated feedback from the public.

The changes have been submitted to the Vermont Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules, which will review them on June 29 to determine if the Division followed the requirements for new regulations.
