U.S. House of Representatives Candidates Forum – 6/30

The League of Women Voters of Vermont, Voices for Vermont’s Children, and other organizations are hosting a virtual U.S. House of Representatives Candidates Forum on Thursday, June 30, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The forum will focus on issues impacting women and families.

Candidate participants are Sen. Becca Balint (Dem), Sianay Chase Clifford (Dem), Lt. Gov. Molly Gray (Dem), Liam Madden (Rep), Louis Meyers, MD (Dem), Ericka Bundy Redic (Rep), and Anya Tynio (Rep). Moderating the panel will be Cary Brown, Executive Director of the Vermont Commission on Women.

BBF Systems Analysis Briefing – 7/11

Building Bright Futures (BBF) is holding a virtual briefing on the Final Report and Recommendations from Vermont's Child Care and Early Childhood Education Systems Analysis on Monday, July 11, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. 

The briefing will include the final recommendations, review of the process, and recommended next steps.

VAHC Town Hall Meetings – Continues 7/26

The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition (VAHC) is hosting a once-a-month virtual Town Hall Meeting of their membership, legislators, and all interested Vermonters in each region of Vermont. The purpose of these meetings is to identify gaps and barriers to affordable housing, discuss solutions, and strengthen communities.​

Once you register, a VAHC staff member will be in touch with the agenda for the event and the Zoom information. Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30pm. The schedule of meetings is:

  • Central Vermont: July 26
  • Northeast Vermont: August 23
  • Southeast Vermont: September 27
  • Southwest Vermont: October 25

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.
