2025 Alliance Annual Membership Meeting Recap

Last week on May 28, the Alliance held its 11th Annual Membership Meeting at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich. The event centered on networking and information sharing, drawing more than 30 members of Vermont’s early childhood community.

The Meeting began with welcoming remarks from Matt Levin, Executive Director of the Alliance and a review of legislative developments related to the Alliance’s 2025 Legislative Agenda.

The organizational business portion of the meeting opened with introductions by the Steering Committee members and staff. Matt then led elections for this year’s open Steering Committee seats. See the updated Steering Committee roster on the Alliance website.

Aly Richards, CEO of Let’s Grow Kids, then provided comments on the organization’s ongoing work and transition as their end date approaches, and answered questions from attendees. This was followed by a Zoom discussion with Rep. Robin Scheu, Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, and Amy Shollenberger of Action Circles, about the Legislature’s ongoing consideration of potential cuts in federal funding.

Matt closed the meeting with a few final remarks and thanked participants for their dedication and commitment to Vermont’s young children and families.
