TEACH Scholarships – Applications Due 7/17

Administered by the Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC), the Fall 2026 TEACH Early Childhood® Vermont Scholarship application window will be open through July 17.

TEACH scholarships cover tuition, books, release time, a stipend, and a completion bonus. Each scholar is paired with a TEACH counselor who provides encouragement and guidance along the way.

Updated STARS Guidance Manual

The STARS guidance manual was updated in June 2026 to provide more details about achieving each of the STARS levels. The updates include more information specific to each program type and more examples about how to complete parts of the STARS application, such as the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan.

NAEYC Summer ECE Workforce Survey – Open Until 7/27

Each year, the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) ECE Workforce Survey captures the voices and experiences of early childhood educators and program leaders across states and settings. From compensation and staffing to classroom conditions and program challenges, these surveys document what it means to work in early learning programs today. 

The Workforce Survey provides educators with a chance to share experiences with regulatory systems and requirements and the everyday realities of doing this work. Every response helps build a fuller, more accurate picture of the ECE field and strengthens the case for policies that support children, families, and educators.

NOFA-VT is Hiring

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) is seeking a highly detail-oriented, collaborative person to support and lead various aspects of the event planning and logistics for their Annual Winter Conference. This is a temporary, seasonal position September 2026 through March 2027.

NAMI VT Basics Class – Begins 9/22

The National Association for Mental Illness Vermont (NAMI) is offering a free, virtual, six-week evidence-based course designed to empower parents and caregivers of youths aged 22 and under with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to navigate the challenges of supporting a young person with a mental health condition. The course is led by two trained NAMI Vermont volunteers who have lived experience supporting a young person with a mental health condition and features workshops, presentations, discussions, and interactive elements, allowing participants to forge connections with others in the class and develop essential skills.

The course will be held every Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm beginning September 22. For more information and to register, visit the NAMI website.
