Early Voting has Begun for the 8/13 Primary Election

Early voting has started for Vermont’s Primary Election, which will be held on Tuesday, August 13. For information about how to submit an early ballot, visit the Vermont Secretary of State website. Vermont Public’s recent interview on the topic is available here.

Voters will select statewide and legislative candidates for Vermont’s three major parties: Republicans, Democrats and Progressives. Action Circles has provided a list of events (remote and in-person) being held by candidates and forums held for candidates to debate or meet with voters.

VTAEYC Roundtable Event – 8/6

The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) will be hosting a 45-minute virtual roundtable on August 6 at 6:00 pm for early childhood educators engaged with the work to advance ECE as a profession in Vermont. Learn what’s the latest, ask questions, offer feedback, share advocacy successes, and connect with other early childhood educators throughout the state engaged in this work.

These roundtables are open to any workforce member or stakeholder engaged or interested in advancing early childhood education as a profession, though familiarity with the initiative and the Unifying Framework for the Early Childhood Education Profession is helpful. Please note, there are no professional development hours associated with this roundtable.

For more information and to register, visit the VTAEYC website.

BBF Families and Communities Committee Monthly Meeting – 8/1
