Alliance Equity Discussion – DEI Accountability: Define Before you Measure - 8/18

Join a group of peers and colleagues from the early childhood community to engage in sustained learning about anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. The Alliance hosts a monthly, salon-style Equity Discussion Group via Zoom, and the next session is coming up on Friday, August 18, at 1:00 pm.

This month’s session, “DEI Accountability: Define Before you Measure,” will be facilitated by Chad Simmons, the Policy and Engagement Specialist at the VT Housing Finance Agency and a former community consultant on DEI subjects. He will provide reflections, tools, and resources for how to bring accountability and measures to DEI efforts by first defining key goals and concepts.

CDD Act 76 (H.217) Webinar Recording and Supporting Materials

The Child Development Division (CDD) presented two Act 76 (H.217) overview webinars last week that reviewed the major elements of Act 76, the law recently passed by the Vermont Legislature that includes significant investments and policy changes related to child care and early childhood education. The focus of the webinars was to provide information that will help leaders of child care programs to know what changes to expect and when to expect them.

A recording of the webinar plus the materials shared are now available on the CDD website.
