Alliance Staff Changes

Amy Russo-Perler, our current Outreach Manager, has decided that she will not be returning to the Alliance after her parental leave. Amy is moving to Connecticut to be closer to family and will continue to serve young children and families through work with the New York City Department of Education.

While this is a loss for the Alliance, we wish Amy the best!

We will be starting a hiring process to fill this position soon – potential applicants should check the Alliance website for updates in the coming days.

Alliance Equity Discussion - August 13

Join a group of peers and colleagues from the early childhood community to engage in sustained learning about anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. The Alliance has established a monthly, salon-style Equity Discussion Group via Zoom, and the next session is coming up on Friday, August 13 at 1:00 pm.

We are excited to announce that this session will be facilitated by Hannah Assefa who currently teaches kindergarten at Milton Elementary School and serves as a moderator for the Turrell Fund’s Early Learning and Development Exchange

We will be discussing the role of music in teaching children about diversity and inclusion and the Anti-Racist Guide for Educators that Hannah was inspired to create.

Email Dan Brown, Alliance Public Engagement Director, at dan@vecaa.org to register.
