BBF Documentary Video Survey

Building Bright Futures is creating a series of short documentary-style videos about the realities families are navigating across Vermont today.

They are looking for parents and caregivers who are open to being filmed, having a conversation, and sharing a glimpse of everyday family life and speaking honestly about topics like balancing work and caregiving, the rising cost of living, and childcare and healthcare access. These films will be personal, warm, and grounded in real Vermont families and communities.

HHAV Annual Meeting – Save the Date – 9/22

Save the date the Housing and Homelessness Alliance of Vermont’s (HHAV) annual meeting on September 22 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. The agenda will be shared soon and will include a panel discussion and presentations on Vermont's new homelessness continuum, Act 143, and emerging opportunities in housing.

The meeting will be held in the Montpelier area (location to be announced). Breakfast and lunch will be provided, with plenty of opportunities for networking and connecting with partners from across the state.

2026 Erhard Mahnke Award – Now Accepting Nominations

The Erhard Mahnke Award was established by HHAV in 2025 to recognize an individual’s life-long work to support affordable housing and homelessness response in Vermont and beyond; steadfast dedication to equity; passion for legislative advocacy; and lasting impact on safe, affordable, and accessible housing policies and programs. HHAV is now accepting nominations.

Submit nominations here by August 17. The award will be presented at HHAV’s September annual meeting. 

 
 

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early childhood education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
