Early MTSS Pyramid Model Training Series – 8/2

Registration is now available for the fall Vermont Early Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Pyramid Model training series. This event will start on Saturday, August 2, at 9:00 am with a keynote, and will continue with a choice of three sessions that run to 2:00 pm. Participants can attend the virtual keynote presentation and then select one of the three training topics for the on-going series.

LGK Future of Child Care Event – 9/3

Let’s Grow Kids (LGK) is hosting a discussion about the next steps for Vermont’s Child Care Campaign on Wednesday, September 3, at Hula Lakeside in Burlington from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

The event, “Growing Vermont: A Conversation on the Future of Child Care,” will include new data on Vermont’s child care progress and the gaps that remain, a town hall–style conversation with local and national early childhood leaders, an introduction to the organizations leading the next phase of the campaign, and a cocktail reception to connect and celebrate together.

Paid Leave 802 Reasons Campaign

The Vermont Paid Leave Coalition has launched its “802 Reasons VT Needs Paid Leave” campaign. Over the next six months, they aim to collect at least 802 stories and statements from Vermonters about why paid family and medical leave matters, and then deliver them directly to the Legislature when lawmakers return in January.

2025 VT Nonprofit Summit – 11/4

Registration is now open for the 2025 Vermont Nonprofit Summit on November 4, at the DoubleTree in South Burlington. After a sold-out debut in 2024, this year’s Summit has expanded in scope.

With the theme “Meeting the Moment: Together We Rise,” the 2025 Summit will bring together nonprofit professionals, community leaders, advocates, and allies from across Vermont for a day of collaboration and forward-thinking strategy.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
