Join the VT Educators of Color Association and Affiliate Network

The VT Educators of Color Association is an independent group co-facilitated and supported by the Education Justice Coalition. The mission of the group is to support educators of color in Vermont to connect, heal, and organize for change. They do this through regular online meetings, occasional in-person gatherings, and shared organizing projects. The group is open to all educators including those in early childhood education, higher education, and out of school education. Educators of color can sign up to join here.

The Educator of Color Affiliate Network is organized by the Vermont Educators of Color Association, a project of the Education Justice Coalition. The program is meant to sustain and retain educators of color in Vermont. Schools and districts who join the affiliate network are committing to supporting educators of color in their school/district and throughout the state. For more information and to join the affiliate network, visit the Education Justice Coalition website.

2026 Annual Quality and Capacity Incentive Payment – Applications Due 9/14

The Child Development Division (CDD) is now implementing the second year of the Quality and Capacity Incentive Payments program. Child care providers continue to have flexibility in how they use these payments to strengthen quality, expand access, and promote inclusion.

The incentive payments are designed to increase the availability of high-quality child care across Vermont, with a particular focus on infants and toddlers, families needing full-time or extended-hours care, and children with specialized needs. Building on the first year's successes, the 2026 Quality and Capacity payments continue to support the stability, capacity, and long-term sustainability of Vermont's child care system.

For more information and to apply for funding, visit the CDD website. Applications are being accepted until September 14.
