Hunger Free Vermont Focus Groups for Early Childhood Education Nutrition Program Administrators

Hunger Free Vermont has joined with other early childhood education and food access partners to gather information about the costs associated with running an early childhood school nutrition program. Six focus groups are planned between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15, each focus group will include ten early childhood education professionals to discuss their nutrition programs.

Child Tax Credit Webinar – Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m.

The federal Administration for Children and Families in partnership with the Treasury and White House is hosting a one-hour training on the Child Tax Credit (CTC) on Tuesday, September 14 at 4:30p.m. This training is for parents and community, state, and regional leaders to learn more about the CTC and how you can help those in your community enroll.

Campaign to Support Women in the Workforce

Let’s Grow Kids has joined forces with the Vermont Commission on Women, Change the Story VT, Vermont Works for Women, and the Vermont’s Women Fund to launch the #MakeWorkWorkForUs campaign. The goal of this campaign is to support women in the workforce and eliminate barriers that are keeping women from the workforce.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
