Early Childhood Day at the Legislature 2021 Survey

The Alliance, Let's Grow Kids, and Building Bright Futures want to hear from you! Feedback from the field is crucial as we begin planning for Early Childhood Day at the Legislature (ECDL) 2021. To respond to public health concerns, we’ll be moving to a digital platform for next year's event, and we’d like your input on timing, format, accessibility, and more.

Please take a moment to fill out this brief survey by Wednesday, September 23.

Child Protection System Series

Starting next week, Voices for Vermont’s Children will be hosting a weekly series on Vermont’s Child Protection System. This four part webinar series, scheduled from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesdays through October 7, will explore the greater context in which our child protection system exists.

Each week will focus on a different topic to help attendees better understand how Vermont's unique landscape shapes experiences and outcomes for everyone involved and how to take steps toward achieving a more responsive, child-centered system. Register for sessions individually, or all four together.

One Week Away! Annual Membership Meeting

The Alliance’s Annual Membership Meeting is in one week, on Wednesday, September 16! Join us to celebrate our community’s accomplishments, plan for the year ahead, and hear a panel discussion on addressing systemic issues and rebuilding the early childhood community stronger in the wake of COVID-19. The event will also feature breakout sessions, remarks from Representative Jessica Brumsted, and time for questions and conversation.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
